Student Community Health Awareness and Advocacy Campaign

The University of Makeni invites students and members of the local community to participate in the Student Community Health Awareness and Advocacy Campaign.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of key community health issues, promote healthy behaviours, and encourage active student engagement in improving community well-being.

As part of the campaign, students will participate in planning and implementing health awareness activities focused on sanitation, nutrition, mental health, maternal and child health, and disease prevention. Working together with health professionals and community leaders, students will conduct awareness-raising sessions, distribute educational materials, and advocate for healthier lifestyles and practices.

Key areas of the campaign include:

  • Sanitation and Environmental Hygiene
  • Nutrition and Healthy Living
  • Mental Health and Well-being
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Disease Prevention

Expected outcomes

The campaign seeks to improve community health awareness and practices, empower students to become active health advocates, and strengthen partnerships between universities and local communities.

By combining student engagement, health education, and community collaboration, the initiative aims to contribute to healthier communities and a better quality of life.

Join us in promoting health awareness and building healthier, stronger communities together.
