Five face-to-face meetings will be held throughout the project’s duration, aligned with other project activities.
Exploratory Visit of the Enhance-GSL project was held at the University of Rijeka, Croatia on 17th-19th February, 2025. The three-day hybrid meeting brought together project partners from Georgia, Sierra Leone, Croatia, and Slovakia to exchange practices and align on next steps. European partners shared valuable insights on embedding community engagement into academic and institutional frameworks, while future plans and goals were shaped through collaborative discussions.
GalleryA three-day training of the Enhance-GSL project was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 3 - 5 September 2025. Hosted by the University of Georgia, the event gathered 20 participants, including 6 representatives of university management and 14 academic staff members from the University of Georgia and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University. European partners delivered interactive sessions focused on strengthening service-learning practices and community engagement. The training provided a valuable platform for capacity building, knowledge exchange, and fostering future collaboration within the project framework. At the end of the project, final conference will be held at UG.
GalleryA three-day training of the ENHANCE-GSL project was held in Freetown, Sierra Leone, from 22 to 24 October 2025. The event, which was hosted by the University of Sierra Leone brought together 20 participants from the University of Sierra Leone and the University of Makeni. The training sessions focused on strengthening service-learning practices, fostering community engagement, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience among partner institutions. Prior to the training, on 20 October 2025, a project coordination meeting took place, attended by representatives of all four partner universities: the University of Sierra Leone, the University of Makeni, the University of Georgia, and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University. On 21 October 2025, the Midterm Conference was held in Freetown, attracting around 250 participants, including university staff, students, and community stakeholders. The conference served as an important platform to share project outcomes, discuss progress, and strengthen collaboration between partners and local communities.
GallerySite visit in Matej Bel University (Slovakia). Staff from partner country universities will see firsthand how community engagement activities are implemented at the university. Additional training for trainers will be conducted.
