The University of Georgia

The University of Georgia (UG) is an accredited higher educational institution located in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Founded in 2004, it has become the biggest private university in Georgia that counts more than 7.000 graduates, 7500 students in which more than half are coming from 70 different countries. Being in the leading ranks of regional educational institutions, UG is dedicated to the personal growth of every student, so that not only do they graduate as expertly trained professionals, but are also prepared to take on the challenges of the real world.

Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University

Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University is an authorized Higher Educational Institution, founded by Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto, the Apostolic Administrator of Latin Catholics in the Caucasus, in 2001 as the Institute of Philosophy, Theology, History and Culture. Starting with one faculty of theology, academic programs were gradually added, and today the University carries out educational activities with 10 undergraduate programs (Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Administration in English, Tourism, Theology, International Relations, Political Science, Psychology, and English Philology), 5 graduate programs (Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Theology, and Human Resource Management), and 3 Ph.D. programs (Law, Public Administration, and Theology) across 5 faculties (Law, Business and Technology, Theology, Social Sciences, and Medicine). 

There are several research institutes and centers within the faculties, which organize the university's research activities. As a result, hundreds of studies have been conducted, and dozens of books, textbooks, and scientific journals have been published. 

The university focuses on students' personal and professional growth by providing various opportunities, such as university-level internships, participation in legal clinics where they handle real cases, and conducting training sessions. 

The university has approximately 1000 students, 51 administrative staff members and 202 academic staff and invited lecturers.

Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica

Matej Bel University is a public university which achieved university status in 2010 and is a member of the European University Association. It provides quality tertiary and further education in line with the development of science and practice needs and develops new knowledge through creative scientific and artistic research. Currently, Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica (UMB), is the leading university in Central Slovakia.  

It comprises 7 faculties

UMB creates opportunities which link learning and practice through innovative mentoring, volunteering, non-formal education and community work. It is the leader in Central Europe in the development of the service-learning. The university organised several seminars and conferences on volunteering, community engagement and service-learning.  

In their leisure time, a student can create a space for the various social activities provided by the sports clubs, artistic groups and student organisations which are run at the UMB. Among the UMB’s graduates and educators are several Olympic winners and their trainers, outstanding artists and scientists.

The University of Sierra Leone

The UNIVERSITY OF SIERRA LEONE (USL), a public university in Sierra Leone, is currently made up of three constituent colleges/campuses, all located in the capital city of Sierra Leone, Freetown.

 

FOURAH BAY COLLEGE, (FBC), the first college which specialises in Arts, Social Sciences, Economics, Law, Pure and Applied Science, Engineering and Architecture, was established on the 18th February 1827, by the Church Missionary Society.

IPAM (Institute of Public Administration and Management), the second college of the University of Sierra Leone, which trains administrators, managers and civil servants, is the business arm of USL. It was established in 1980.

COMAHS (College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences), which trains medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory experts and other allied health professionals, is the third constituent college of the University of Sierra Leone. It was established in 1988.

 

The University of Sierra Leone can boast of 400 academic staff, 300 administrative and auxiliary staff, and a student population of over 20,000 students.
