Modern Approaches to History Teaching and the Use of Digital Resources

Target Audience: History teachers

Moderator: Tsira Chikvaidze, Head of the Department of History, School of Arts and Humanities, the University of Georgia

Workshop Objectives

The workshop aims to introduce history teachers to modern pedagogical approaches and the effective use of digital resources in history teaching. Participants will explore interactive teaching strategies, methods focused on developing critical thinking, and tools that encourage greater and more active student engagement in history lessons.

Special attention will be given to the use of digital platforms, such as online archives, virtual museums, educational applications, and multimedia resources, both in classroom teaching and in organizing independent research activities.

The workshop will be practice-oriented, providing participants with the opportunity to design their own learning activities and share experiences with colleagues.
